Head of Marketing & Communications / Tumu Whakatairanga, Whakapānga

Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki Auckland Arts Festival is on the lookout for a super talented and savvy individual to join the Senior Management team as Head of Marketing & Communications / Tumu Whakatairanga, Whakapānga.

Auckland Arts Festival is a globally recognised celebration of art and culture taking place each March in New Zealand’s largest city. Presented annually, the 18-day event celebrates people and culture, and showcases the cultural diversity and vibrant energy of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

As Head of Marketing & Communications, your role will be divided into these areas of focus: Leadership & Strategy, Marketing & Communications, and Budget Management. Key highlights include recruiting and managing the highly-skilled annual marketing and communications team, as well as driving the strategy, planning, and delivery of all festival marketing, communications, audience development, and public sales, contributing greatly to its success.

The best person for the job has a minimum of five years’ experience in arts marketing or similar; experience working in both traditional and digital marketing; demonstrated project, time, and people management skills; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; the ability to remain flexible and adapt; and no qualms with an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.

The Head of Marketing & Communications is a full-time, permanent position commencing June 2024.
